The Melbourne Radio Wars are in full swing in 2025
With the first metro radio survey of the year dropping tomorrow, RCS Media Monitors is turning its attention to Melbourne’s fiercely competitive radio market.
KIIS101.1 ramped up its ad count following The Kyle & Jackie O Show’s market debut last year, airing more spots than any other Melbourne station during the Survey 1 period (31,200). Leading advertisers on KIIS included Fantastic Furniture, Henley, and Athena Home Loans.
Gold 104.3 – another ARN station – secured the second spot for total ad volume, running 29,637 spots. Meanwhile, Nova 100 aired ads from the most diverse range of brands in Melbourne (413 unique advertisers), with National Tiles maintaining a strong presence.
Across all Melbourne stations, over 3,000 unique brands hit the airwaves in Survey 1 – more than double the count from the same period last year.
