New filters added to the Spot Placement, Spins Analysis & Top Songs reports.

Earlier this month we upgraded the AirCheck™ website and, in addition to performance enhancements, you will now find a Daypart control and a credit filter.

Daypart

Dayparts

The daypart control added to the Spot Placement Report has dual functionality.

Day Filter – You can now select the days of the week on which to base your report over a date range. In the example above, only weekdays have been selected.

Time Filter – You can also specify the Hours Range, including half-hourly intervals. You can either select from the pre-defined list or create your own.

This combination is be very useful when, for example, you only need to look at the placement of your campaign during breakfast (5.30am to 9am) on weekdays over a month. Interested in a real-time Airplay Chart of only Australian songs on weekdays between 6am and 6pm this year? You can get it now with the Spins Analysis report. Or did you want to see the Top 40 indies played nationally over weekends this month? The Top Songs report is the answer.

Credits/Sponsorships

The Spot Placement Report now has an option called Include Credits/Sponsorships. This feature serves three purposes. The first two are related to break length and the third distinguishes between commercials and credits.

Spot Placement

By leaving this option unchecked, your report will exclude credits. This will ensure that even if a credit is played within 90 seconds of the commercial break, your report will ignore it when calculating the position of the spot in the ad break. In the following example, Mobile Phone Hospital is the 7th ad in the commercial break, and is followed by a 10-second credit for Gregory Jewellers. Mobile Phone Hospital appears as last in break because you have chosen to exclude credits.

Mobile Phone Hospital

Conversely, if you check this box, you will have the functionality of the old report, i.e. it will include credits when determining spot placement. Going back to the Mobile Phone Hospital example, it no longer appears as last in break because the 10-second credit is now part of the commercial break (at position 8).

Mobile Phone Hospital

Include Credits will now also indicate which of the spots pertaining to your report are credits. In the following example, 4 of the 10 Target instances are credits (as indicated by asterisk marks).
